I'm a photographer with a difference. Until fairly recently photography was nothing more than my hobby, a special and creative way to unwind. A couple of years ago, however, I decided that rather than have a mid-life crisis I'd try and turn my love of the image, and photographing people, into a career because there really was no other way I wanted to earn a living.

Things quickly got serious - Digital Photo Pro voted me the UK's 'Promising New Social Photographer'; Canon decided to sponsor me and I spent a year being mentored by acclaimed photographer Annabel Williams.

Today I am the professional photographer I always dreamt of being. I specialise in pictures of people - people getting married, people at school, people in adverts, portraits of people.

And I try to do it just a little bit differently. If, when you see the final photographs, you haven't laughed out loud, shed a tear or grinned from ear to ear then I simply haven't done my job properly.
